Bugio Oeiras

With the Atlantic in front, the Oeiras Marina beside you and the Bugio lighthouse with the horizon as its backdrop, BUGIO was created to prolong the pleasure of being at table. It is a restaurant, bar, terrace and meeting point, designed to days that start at lunchtime and easily slip into the end of the in the late afternoon, when the light fades, the glasses reach the table and the music hits the rhythm of the conversation.

Opened by the Praia Group, the venue clearly takes on a role of lifestyle: you don’t just go there to eat, you go there to stay. The décor, signed by Rodrigo Machado Soares and the NIU agency, with lighting by Joana Forjaz, working with a Mediterranean aesthetic, bright and natural, where wood, fibres, light tones and a sea view create a relaxed, cosmopolitan and very Portuguese atmosphere. The result comes close to the spirit of international beach clubs, but with the Atlantic as its signature.

The menu, under the supervision of executive chef Lúcio Bastos, brings together Mediterranean influences, from Italy to Greece, taking in the Algarve and through Ibiza. Sharing plates, oysters, scallops, pasta, risottos, fish fresh dishes, cuts of meat and desserts sit alongside a menu of cocktails, which are already one of the house’s great trademarks: colourful, well served and made to complement the setting.

Open for leisurely lunches, get-togethers with friends, end-of-the-day dinners whether for a week or for sunset drinks, BUGIO is one of the new places to a benchmark on the Oeiras seafront for those seeking good vibes and views open and a table with a taste of summer, even when the calendar insists otherwise.
